River City Reading Festival quilt on display at Lawrence Public Library
A quilt celebrating the River City Reading Festival is on display now at the south entrance of the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont St. The quilt will be given away in a drawing at the River City Reading Festival on Sunday, October 14, 2007, at the Lawrence Arts Center.
The queen-size (100" X 84") quilt was machine pieced by "The Cut Ups," (Michele Berndt, Cindy Foster, Leslie Michel, and Carolyn Spohn), and machine quilted by Gail Olson of G & R Quilting. The design is based on the River City Reading Festival logo and the blocks are based on a collection of Kansas blocks by Jeanne Poore.
Tickets for the quilt drawing may be obtained at the locations listed below. A donation is requested, but no donation or purchase is necessary to participate in the drawing.
